I think the first time to this one, but wanted to have a look.
I was noting in the picture above (comfy007.jpg), that the exhaust exit, is extremely close to the driver’s position.
How are up-draughts going to affect the dispersion of those fumes, especially from the driver ? Won’t some of those fume circulate around your face ? There was also the heat issue. Both whilst in the car, and upon trying to get in and out of it ?
We put external exhausts by the skirts, on an old ap5 once, and the exit, the same, just before the rear wheel arch, and anyone sitting in the back seat, had to near wear a gas mask. Also, one of my mates burned his leg, not watching what he was doing, by placing his leg accidentally on the pipe, upon exit of the back door. Is that going to be a problem here for you as well ?
It is no problem at all because the car is entirely open it is only with an enclosed car that fumes are a problem. I do have a heat sheild on the exhaust where you are likely to touch it when getting in and out though .
I remember for the guy at the time, it was a particularly nasty burn, small thank goodness.
At the time, his father was a senior officer in the Victorian Police, so the concern rate was rather high.
Hence the reason why I remembered it.
Cheers and thanks for your time.
